Which mood board would you pick?! ☀️

This is where I started with the @huskytriathlonfestival 2026 branding. An efficient and simple way to give a client some options without spending hours designing something they may never have wanted in the first place.

Option 3 was the clear winner but we’ve definitely put the others in our back pocket for the years to come!

Which is your favourite?

It’s a pretty cool feeling to look around at a huge event like @huskytriathlonfestival and see all the designs that were once just on your computer screen now come to life!

Everything from the finish arch, to flags, banner mesh, tents, inflatables, umbrellas, to podiums, cheques, trophies and uniforms, I got the privilege of designing!! Arrhhh… it’s actually crazy and hard to put into words. It’s not anything I ever even dreamed could happen but I’m really glad it did. I’m so excited for you all to see what I’ve been working on for Husky Tri 2026 branding ☺️

It’s a pretty cool feeling to look around at a huge event like @huskytriathlonfestival and see all the designs that were once just on your computer screen now come to life!

I’m so happy I finally get to share this with the world ☺️

In all honesty, I feel like I outgrew my business and its name. I felt like every time I tried to create a piece of content about my business, I would struggle to be proud of its name, branding and the services I offered. So, after probably a year of tossing up a name change in my head and 6ish weeks of working hard to make this rebrand come to life, I present to you Claudia Jessica Design ✨

Many of my offerings remain the same, but I am more excited than ever to lean into what I am best at! When I look back on where I was 3 years ago, I couldn’t even imagine that my business could be where it’s at now. I have done lots of rejigging and re-calibrating as I’ve learned more about the graphic design industry, so it only makes sense that my business has gone through so many changes.
I hope to keep you guys more updated than ever about my business and what I’m up to! Check out my new website at claudiajessica.com.au ✨

Keep scrolling if you don’t want any advice, but if you do, here are 3 questions I would ask myself before starting a business

✨ Am I trying to impress someone or live up to their expectations?
There is so much pressure on creative people to monetise their hobby. Not every skill we have is something to make money from, so I would ask myself, have other people said “you should sell that” or is there a deeper desire in you to own and grow a business?

✨ Is it an all-in thing or could it start as a side hustle?
I don’t like to do things in halves. I like to give it everything or nothing, but sometimes you need to use every spare moment to create, dream and work on your business before you quit your day job. You must take risks to succeed in business, but you also should avoid unnecessary ones. What can you do to start your business while working your day job?

✨ What will it take for you to give up?
I read a book called “The Dip” by Seth Godin when I first started my business. Part of it talks about choosing when you’re going to quit so that you don’t quit too early. If you choose to quit because your sales dropped a bit or you’re mentally having a hard month, then you will listen to your feelings and not to what a smarter version of you decided. I decided early on that I will quit when I’m forced to. I will quit when there’s no clients left and my savings are gone. That might not be everyones quitting point, but deciding on it early on will help you to be resilient.

Hope this helps someone that’s questioning if they should start a business. A lot of this I learned from reading some great books, so my inbox is always open if you want book suggestions ✨
